Karla VonEschen, MS, CCDS-O, CPC, CPMA, has been Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist-Outpatient since 2023 and a Certified Professional Coder since 2002. She is currently a Clinical Development Analyst with Solventum Health Information Systems and has held this position since May 2022.
During her career, Karla has held positions with HMOs, consulting firms, and healthcare technology companies. Her experience includes operationalizing benefits, E/M auditing, ICD-10 transition consulting, coding education, and natural language processing. In 2015, Karla accepted a position as a 3M Coding Analyst (now Solventum) before transitioning to her current role in 2022. In August 2022, Karla obtained her MS in Health Information Management from Southern New Hampshire University.
